Michelle, yes about Beck! and it drives me crazy that Grace doesn’t see this, at all, but then I realize she has been so bereft of a loving parent that she’s not the best judge of parenting: she just sees Beck being a “good parent” and cannot get beyond that for her own personal, emotional issues. I’m also glad that someone finally called Beck on this in this book, tho, obviously, I wanted more because that’s me. That’s not the book’s issue, that’s mine.
Want to hear my secret hope? And it’s because, like you said, I enjoy Stiefvater’s writing. Maybe I’m overreading, and I’m sure Stiefvater has a lot of stories she wants to tell, but the “wolves of mercy falls” may be no more but with how people moved in the last book she has wriggle room for some characters (cough Isabel cough) to be in a new, independent series…. right? right?
